        Catherine Gannon, then a tax solicitor at a large US law firm, looks out from their ivory tower and spots a gap in the market.? This gap is the lack of high quality legal advice for entrepreneurs and SMEs.? Research quickly reveals that SMEs generate most of the UK’s GNP – far more than the quoted sector produces.? Many larger law firms claim to service SMEs but in reality smaller businesses are pushed to the bottom of the pile. The opportunity has crystallised – the delivery of top quality legal advice SMEs need within a sensible price bracket.
        2002
        Our firm is up and trading as a paperless office with scope to work remotely: innovative for 2002. Our technology attracted sharp, experienced solicitors frustrated by?the major firms’ practices, processes and politics.
        2005
        The corporate team starts its expansion.
        2006
        Administration costs cut by 50%, due to technology investment and?outsourcing strategy.
        2008
        2012
        Helen Curtis joins and manages the corporate team which completes its first ?20 million+ company sale transaction. Both Helen Curtis and Catherine Gannon take the lead.
        2016
        John Deane joins to run the commercial and technology teams.? The firm now comprises six partners across its?core disciplines backed by?a brilliant?team.
        2019
        A very good year with a strong deal flow.? Proud that we had a sufficiently developed team to cope.
        Story so far
        The original business vision remains.??Of course it is not plain sailing. ?But, therein lies the respect for those braving the business world.? Empathy is the core. Hence Project Cub – our initiative to assist incubators with commercial tips and introductions for growing a business.
